Dubai: The Mother Teresa Memorial Award for Social Justice was presented to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, received the award in recognition of Sheikh Mohammed’s projects implemented to protect the environment and ensure sustainable development.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Cooperation presented the award at a ceremony held at Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi.
General Women’s Union chairwoman Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak presided. The Mother Teresa Memorial Award is given to honor individuals and organizations that promote peace, social justice and equality.
