Since then, the towel has been burning between the two former allies, the President explaining that she refused a post of adviser requested by Gailhaguet. The problem is much more complex. The Minister of Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra having commissioned an investigation by the IGESR (General Inspectorate for Education, Sport and Research), Gwenaëlle Noury undertook a “big cleanup”.
At the beginning of May, she had thus requested the dismissal of six members of the executive office, deemed close to the former leader. Among them, ex-skater Brian Joubert. In the aftermath, the excluded seized the Paris court for interim measures, which has just ruled in their favor. “The Paris Court today rendered its decision on the dismissal of the six members of the Executive Board of the French Federation of Ice Sports. The ordinance suspends the decision taken by the Federal Council at the request of President Gwenaëlle Noury and therefore allows their immediate reinstatement in the full exercise of the missions for which they had been elected. “Write the banished in a letter addressed to the clubs. But, to make matters worse, a Federal Council could be convened urgently this Friday evening to counter the court’s decision and again dismiss the six relatives of Gailhaguet!
The confusion is now total
This is likely to agitate the General Assembly, especially since a petition has been circulating for a few days with the clubs to request the dismissal of Gwenaëlle Noury. The latter could find herself caught between the supporters of Didier Gailhaguet and the supporters of Nathalie Péchalat, the president beaten in June 2021. The latter now believe that the elections were “unfair”, Gwenaëlle Noury, having been “remotely guided” by Gailhaguet.
The confusion is now total, while justice has been seized concerning Didier Gailhaguet, after the publication of the report of the Inspection, for various presumed facts, noted by the inspectors: use of the bank card of the federation “for inappropriate expenses and sometimes without supporting documents”; “lack of transparency in the management of certain contracts for the provision of services and important advice with companies historically linked to the FFSG; combining the activities of a full-time employee of the FFSG with that of president of a provider company of the federation between January 1, 2014 and August 6, 2019; non-regulatory methods of remuneration of high-level athletes and activities of undeclared sports agents in accordance with the provisions of the sports code; Opaque ticketing management for sporting events prior to 2020.
