What a duel! This Sunday at the French Grand Prix at Le Mans, Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing), Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing) and Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) gave everything to win. The first city finally won, after a completely crazy battle.

Long the fastest driver, Francesco Bagnaia suffered pressure from Jorge Martin, in his wheel from the start, during the last ten laps. The Spanish driver attacked the double world champion eight laps from the finish but the latter dropped back to regain the lead.

An intense duel

Finally, Jorge Martin definitely managed to overtake him on the next lap. The duel benefited Marc Marquez, who approached the two leaders. The three drivers fought hard until the final laps. But the Pramac Racing driver finally held on, despite insistent pressure from Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez.

The latter even overtook Francesco Bagnaia on the last lap to finish second, after setting fire at the end of the race, when he started in thirteenth position on the starting grid.

On the French side, Fabio Quartararo fell, after starting the race very well. The Yamaha rider, then sixth, missed ten laps from the end, in front of the Le Mans crowd, totally disconcerted. The 2021 world champion was well on his way to achieving his best performance of the season, as he scraped places. This season, he has never ranked higher than seventh place at the Portuguese Grand Prix.

Frenchman Johann Zarco (Honda) finished twelfth. The attendance record for a MotoGP weekend was also broken, since 297,471 people went to the Le Mans circuit over the entire weekend.
