MotoGP Argentina confirmed via its social media that the Argentine Grand Prix will once again be part of the calendar for next season. As in previous editions, the event will be held at the Termas de Río Hondo International Circuit, located in the province of Santiago del Estero. The last time it was held in Argentina was in 2023, where Marco Bezzecchi took the victory.

This year, the race was cancelled due to organisational and financial problems, but the event is expected to take place without incident in 2025. The announcement of the Grand Prix’s return was made via a video on social media, with more details promised in the coming days.

The company that organises the tournament, Dorna Sports, had cancelled the 2024 event due to the inability of the local promoter to meet the required standards. Amid negotiations for the return of the race, Liberty Media, owner of Formula 1, acquired a majority stake in Dorna Sports, which could bring new dynamics to the organisation of MotoGP.
