CURON VENOSTA. He fell with his motorcycle and crashed into a car. A 39-year-old from Venosta was seriously injured yesterday while riding along the road that runs along the lake of San Valentino alla Muta, in the municipality of Curon Venosta.
It was just after 2:00 p.m. when the accident literally tore apart a sunny afternoon on the lake, causing the sirens of the rescue services and the sounds of the emergency to resound in the calm of the holiday. An ambulance from the Croce Bianca rushed to the site of the dramatic accident, near the Fischerhäuser car park, and the paramedics, led by the emergency doctor, provided first aid to the man, stabilizing his condition and preparing him for emergency transport to the hospital in Bolzano aboard the Pelikan 1 helicopter.
In the hectic and worried moments of the first aid, the 39-year-old’s conditions seemed serious. The doctors at San Maurizio, in the provincial capital, welcomed him and immediately activated all possible treatments. Alongside the health workers, the local firefighters also intervened along the shores of Lake San Valentino alla Muta, who immediately took care of regulating the traffic of vehicles on the road and recovering the motorbike involved in the accident.
The Carabinieri, also on site a few moments after the crash that killed the motorcyclist from Venosta, have started investigations and checks to reconstruct the accident in detail.
