A motorcyclist lost his life late Sunday afternoon following a collision between his vehicle and a car. The accident occurred at the intersection of boulevard de Kockelscheuer and rue de Bettembourg, in Gasperich, Luxembourg City, reported the Police Grand-Ducal (Grand Ducal Police) in a statement.
The victim, aged 46, was from France and did not survive the severity of the injuries caused by the shock. The passenger who was also on the motorcycle, and who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital after receiving initial medical care at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the car were also taken to the hospital to be examined.
Six injured on Luxembourg roads in the last few hours
According to authorities, the road was closed during the response period to the accident. The Public Ministry (MP) tasked the accident measurement and identification service with carrying out an investigation.
Furthermore, the police seized the car and requested an autopsy.
