Motorola Frontier 22 with 194MP camera and 125W charging slated to launch soon

Tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared an image of Motorola’s 125W power adapter, which is expected to debut with the 2022 Frontier. Chen Jin, CEO of Lenovo Group, China, originally shared the image. Yadav also confirmed the specifications of the upcoming Motorola Frontier 22, adding that the smartphone will be launched soon.

Motorola is not the only smartphone brand that works on 100W+ charging technology. Smartphone brands like OPPO, OnePlus, and Realme have already announced their plans to offer 150W charging support with the upcoming smartphones. In fact, the recently announced GT Neo3 from Realme comes with support for 150W charging.

Motorola Frontier 22 specifications (rumoured)

The Motorola Frontier 22 is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+ support. The screen will be curved around the edges, and it will have a hole in the middle for the selfie camera. Moreover, the smartphone is expected to have a fingerprint sensor under the screen.

Under the hood, the Frontier 22 will come with an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The smartphone is said to be running MyUX on top of Android 12. It will come with a 4,500mAh battery, support 125W wired charging and support 30W or 50W wireless charging.

The optics are rumored to be handled by a 194MP sensor on the back along with a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera. It will have a 60MP selfie camera housed inside a punch-hole on the front.
