Motorola has officially unveiled its latest smartphone in the Moto X series, which is the Moto X40 with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 chipset, which will likely be the cheapest 5G phone from the company.

The most prominent feature of the new phone is the flagship Snapdragon chipset from Qualcomm SD 8 Gen 2, which provides the most powerful experience on Android phones.

In addition to the powerful chipset, the phone includes a 6.7-inch screen, with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, with a high refresh rate of 165 Hz, which is the first Motorola screen with a high rate, and the phone includes a powerful Adreno 740 graphics processing unit that may attract people away from expensive gaming phones. .

As for the battery, it has a capacity of 4600 mAh, and supports fast wired charging with a capacity of 125 watts and wireless charging with a capacity of 15 watts, and the Moto X40 can be charged from zero to 50% in just 7 minutes via the wired charger.

Moving on to the cameras unit, we find a 50-megapixel triple rear camera for the main lens, along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens that supports autofocus and can take macro shots from a distance of 2.5 cm.

What is unique about this new phone from Motorola is that it has a water resistance rating of IP68, which makes it able to work under a depth of 1.5 meters for a period of 30 minutes.

The phone was officially launched in China, and it is available for pre-booking at a starting price of $ 490 for the 128 and 8 GB version, and it will be available in the Chinese market on December 22.
