This was stated by Basil Rajapaksa, National Organizer of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and former Minister.
Podujana Peramuna’s victory is assured.
And he,
“There will be local council elections, parliamentary elections and presidential elections in the near future, but we don’t know when these elections will take place.
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna is sure to win in any election.
Government change cannot be done by the results of local government elections, it can only be done through parliamentary elections.
However, local government elections should be held soon without further delay to uphold people’s democracy.
