With so many Batman stories to tell, the film focuses on the system and layers of corruption in society. Riddler chases after Gotham’s elite and sends a clear message, portraying him as a serial killer (without his green outfit from the comics), who poses it as a scary threat to those who have secrets to hide. The Riddler is a fantastic villain and is someone who digs deep under Bruce’s skin. His killing is terrifying, though the violence and torture – take place off-screen, the camera moves away and leaves the horrific details to the imagination. This is an effective tactic that gives the disturbing feelings that there are throughout the film. However, although the plot emphasizes both Batman and the city, Riddler’s program does go on unnecessarily, even as the film draws to a close, weakening certain aspects of his disgrace. At this point in the film – which runs for almost three hours – the plot begins to feel a little longer than necessary. However, this does not detract from the destructive impact that Riddler has on Batman and Gotham in general.
“Batman“It’s a crime mystery – first and foremost, and it’s successful as such. With each puzzle, the tension escalates as Batman and Jim Gordon work to solve it, before Riddler begins to chase after his next target. Even though the answers are revealed all the way through, there is always something else – and it all raises the stakes and keeps the intrigue at bay. The truth that comes to the surface allows Batman to see parts of Gotham that he may have missed in the past, which teaches him quite a few things and changes some of the idealistic views he had before. The issue of hiding behind a mask operates on several levels and challenges Batman’s identity and assumptions about people, including Selena Kyle. The ongoing mystery also shows the tension between the Batman and Gotham cops, and apparently everyone hates Batman – except Gordon. This gives the protagonist in the mask quite a few obstacles to overcome, and the way Reeves handles all of these elements of the story is unusual.
The photography of Grigg Fraser It is phenomenal. The way in which “BatmanWorking with shadow and light creates an amazing aesthetic that complements Gotham’s muddy concrete. The camera is often placed in ways that present the perspectives of different characters – and Batman watches the catwoman talk to her roommate through binoculars. The Penguin (played by Colin Farrell – and unrecognizable) watching the Dark Knight approach him from his side mirror as he sits upside down in his car, and Riddler watches his next target through the window – and this amplifies the strangeness that permeates the film, a sense of horror pulsing throughout – as if a character hiding in the shadows, waiting to storm. From the production design to the excellent costumes and hair and makeup, everything blends in seamlessly.
The Musical Score of Michael Giaccino Beautiful and haunting at the same time; This is perhaps most noticeable when Batman emerges from the darkness to enter the scene, leaving the other characters trembling with fear, dripping with annoyance or moving uncomfortably. “Batman“Strongly strengthened by the outstanding performances of his cast. Pattinson enters the character of Batman effortlessly – he is stoic, curious and occasionally flashes in uncontrollable anger. He seems fearless on the surface, but there are still certain parts of him that capture the emotions he is trying to hide so well. Given that the actor spends most of his time in the bat suit, rather than as Bruce Wayne, Pattinson conveys much of his basic emotions through lingering looks, penetrating eyes that can radiate heat or evoke fear.
Kravitz as the catwoman is a magnet and she steals every scene she’s in. She’s the perfect partner for Batman. Her life and choices challenge him to see beyond what he thinks he knows. They work together, but their ideologies are different and it creates quite a few intriguing and electric moments between them – it helps Pattinson and Kravitz create fantastic chemistry. The Riddler is incredibly creepy and insane, his actions controlled but also independent. Wright’s interpretation of Jim Gordon is calm, logical and skeptical of the rest of the police department. And while Riddler perceives the center of the stage as a villain, Tortoro’s role as Carmine Falcon is chilling in a completely different and disturbing way.
“Batman“Touching, and his character preserves her humanity. To a backbone film as he explores the depths of corruption at Gotham, while showcasing the Batman’s skills as an intelligent detective.
