Dubai തിയ Theaters in the UAE will be fully operational from the 15th of this month, according to the Media Regulatory Office of the Ministry of Culture and Youth. The decision was made by the National Emergency Management Agency (NCEMA). However, it was clarified that each emirate can modify the capacity of cinema halls and simplify or tighten the procedures as they see fit.
The decision to increase the capacity of cinemas was taken following the success of efforts by UAE government agencies to combat the spread of Kovid, said the Executive Director of the Media Regulatory Office. Rashid Khalfan Al Nuaimi said. The UAE has handled the situation very efficiently since Kovid’s inception.
Al-Nuaimi also stressed the need to fully adhere to preventive measures taken to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, such as the mandatory use of masks, control of large gatherings, and disinfection programs throughout the country.
