Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday announced that his government will provide reservation to Agniveers in police and armed forces recruitment. He made this announcement on the 25th anniversary of India’s victory over Pakistan in the Kargil war. Under the Agniveer, Agneepath scheme, soldiers are deployed in all three wings of the army for four years.
CM Yadav told reporters that as per the wish of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to give reservation to Agniveers in the police and armed forces. The Agniveer scheme is actually an effort not only to modernize the armed forces and recruit capable soldiers, but also to make it youthful at the global level.
