The Office of the Prosecutor for Electoral Crimes of the Public Ministry (MP), reported that a follow-up investigation is being carried out on a case related to a complaint about the constitution of the Cabal political party.

Perspective Writing

The MP confirmed to Perspectiva that the 26 people were summoned as witnesses in follow-up to a complaint stating that the Assembly was not held in the indicated place and that the signatures were collected at the notary’s office.

At the moment, the party of Edmond Mulet, former presidential candidate and general secretary of that political group, has not spoken on social networks about what the MP said. Nor has the TSE issued any pronouncement on any irregularity related to that political group. The MP summoned 26 people to testify, for a case being investigated by the Electoral Crimes Prosecutor’s Office. (Social networks).

In the General Elections of June 25, the Cabal party reached 18 seats in the Congress of the Republic for the period 2024-2028. It is the fourth party with the most seats, after Vamos, UNE and Movimiento Semilla.

It should be noted that the Semilla party, winner of the presidential election, is provisionally suspended in its legal status by the General Registry of Persons, in compliance with an order by Judge Freddy Orellana, derived from an investigation by the MP.
