In its last phase, monsoon became active in the south-west region of MP and drenched many districts. After this it will enter UP.
According to the Meteorological Department, the chances of heavy rain in the state will reduce from today. But, due to moisture, the regional monsoon will continue to provide light to moderate rains. This time there has been good rainfall in the monsoon season. Rain has broken its records in many districts. Also, more than average rainfall was recorded.
Record rain for the third time in 10 years
Due to active monsoon in the state, more than two and a half inches of rain was recorded in the capital Bhopal in the last 36 hours. With this, this is the third time in the last 10 years that the city has received so much rainfall in the season. This time rain fell in Bhopal for 69 days, due to which 1585.1 mm rainfall has been recorded here this time. In its previous year, 1800 mm rainfall was recorded in 2022 and 1756 mm rainfall was recorded in 2019.
Farewell may take place in the first week of October
For the last few years, monsoon bids farewell in MP in the initial week of September to October. There has been a trend of departure of monsoon in Bhopal in the month of October.
