jpnn.comSEMARANG – The 16th Chairman of the MPR RI, Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet), said that his party had carried out national friendship activities by meeting with national figures.
Among them are former presidents, former vice presidents, former MPR chairmen, and general chairmen of political parties.
One of the important points of the visit was the common thread and shared views of the national figures.
After 26 years of the reform era, it is necessary to evaluate and improve the implementation of the democratic system and the constitutional life of the Indonesian state.
“In the framework of restructuring the democratic system, I want to emphasize that the democracy we aspire to places democracy as a value or culture where the people can have sovereignty in the true sense,” said Bamsoet online in the Socialization of the Four Pillars of the MPR RI with Wahid Hasyim University in Semarang, Monday (26/8).
“The democracy that we want to build together is Pancasila democracy, where the noble values of Pancasila are always an inspiration, reference and common goal,” he continued.
Present among others were Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Golkar Party Faction Mujib Rohmat, Member of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council Abdul Kholik, Deputy for Constitutional Review and Socialization of the MPR RI Hentoro Cahyono, and Chancellor of Wahid Hasyim University Mudzakir Ali.
There were also the Chancellor of Purbalingga Perwira University Eming Sudiana, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Wahid Hasyim University Agus Riyanto and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Social and Political Sciences of the Open University Meita Istianda.
