Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has warned the Ministers-MPs regarding the government’s influence over the upcoming Upazila Parishad elections, saying that nobody’s interference will be accepted here.

He said this at an exchange meeting with Awami League leaders of Rangpur division on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Saturday (March 30).

Obaidul Quader said that the government wants to make the elections free, fair and impartial. No interference by any MP-Minister to streamline the election will be accepted. MP-Minister I have someone, I will disrupt the election to win him, no one can do that.

He said that any kind of interference in the election, administratively because of the power, will not be allowed under any circumstances. Elections for which they are opened cannot be disturbed. We want to make upazila elections completely free, fair and impartial.

The Awami League General Secretary made it clear that the party will not run in a free style. He said that the party will not bear the responsibility of those who make irresponsible statements whenever they want. One statement of one person affects the discipline of the whole party. Action must be taken if this happens.

Addressing the party leaders and workers, the A. League general secretary said that bridges should be built with the people. Bridges must be created by breaking down the walls that exist at different organizational levels. We are going through challenging times. At this time, you have to speak with a cool head. Officials cannot make irresponsible statements.

He said, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was the Poet of Politics, and his daughter Sheikh Hasina is the Magician of Politics.

The minister said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s positive and inclusive politics has left BNP’s politics in darkness. They cannot get out of this soon.

Quader said that 81 countries and 32 international organizations have congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina after the 12th National Parliament election. Even those who have spread panic around the elections and said bans have understood the reality of Bangladesh. Realizing that, they have now expressed their commitment to work closely with Bangladesh.

A.League general secretary said, BNP, the killer of democracy, is crying for democracy today. Having lost everything, the party has now come to oppose India. India’s opposition to Bangabandhu during the Pakistan period and now India’s opposition to his daughter Sheikh Hasina has started again. Don’t be confused. They have no power to do anything.

Obaidul Quader urged the BNP Secretary General to publish the list of 80 percent of BNP leaders and activists. He said, politics does not run on lies.

Obaidul Quader said Bangladesh is on the right track. Whatever anyone says, we know what’s inside us. We know our status in various economic indicators. Our situation is stable. There is no cause for alarm. Don’t be fooled by lies and misinformation.

At that time, regarding the formation of the committee and the dissolution of the committee by the district, the general secretary of the party said that the party’s deserters should be kept in the committee instead of pocket committees. Many times the district committee cancels and dismisses the posts of upazila, thana, union committees without informing the center. It can’t be done. The district committee can only recommend to the center to exempt someone or dissolve the committee.
