Mps: no 3 billion capital increase initiative

BANCA MPS “INDISCRIPTIONS WITHOUT RECEIPT ON CAPITAL INCREASE 3 BILLION”

” With reference to press reports that refer to a potential capital increase of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (the ” Bank ”) in the amount of 3 billion euros, the Bank – at the request of Consob – specifies that these are indiscretions that are not reflected in any initiatives activated by the Bank ”. This is the law in a note from Monte dei Paschi di Siena.

“The Bank reports that UniCredit’s due diligence activities are continuing, in line with the press release issued by the latter on 29 July”, concludes the note.
