Mr. Akhannouch represents HM the King at the inauguration ceremony of the re-elected Mauritanian President
Nouakchott – The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Thursday in Nouakchott, at the inauguration ceremony of the Mauritanian President, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, re-elected for a second term in office. the outcome of the elections of June 29.
During this ceremony, which took place at the Palais des Congrès in Nouakchott in the presence of heads of state and government, Mr. El Ghazouani was sworn in as President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for a new term of five years.
Mr. Akhannouch was accompanied, during the investiture ceremony, by the Kingdom’s ambassador to Nouakchott, Hamid Chabar.
His Majesty the King sent a message of congratulations to Mr. Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani on the occasion of his re-election, in which the Sovereign reaffirmed His firm determination to work in concert with the Mauritanian Head of State to move forward. forward in strengthening and developing the distinguished cooperative relations that exist between the two neighboring countries, and raising them to the level of a “model partnership” which embodies the solidity of the bonds of fraternity and solidarity uniting the two brother peoples, able to respond to their common ambitions.
Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani won the presidential election with 56.12% of the votes in the first round.
