Mr Bensaid holds talks with his Palestinian counterpart in Rabat

During this interview, emphasis was placed on the strength of the historical and fraternal relations between Morocco and Palestine, as well as on the particular interest that His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President of the Al-Quds Committee, grants to the Palestinian cause.

On this occasion, Mr. Bensaid reaffirmed the constant, historic and unwavering position of Morocco, in favor of the Palestinian question, under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King, President of the Al-Quds Committee.

He also stressed that the Kingdom remains firmly committed to a peaceful two-state solution with a view to establishing a just and lasting peace in the Middle East region.

The Minister recalled, in this sense, that His Majesty King Mohammed VI devoted a good part of his last Speech from the Throne to recent developments in the Gaza Strip, thus illustrating the particular interest and personal follow-up with which the Sovereign continues to surround the Palestinian cause.

Furthermore, Mr. Bensaid stressed the importance of partnership and cooperation uniting the two countries in the cultural field, noting that the two countries are determined to implement various programs and conclude several agreements, particularly in the area of ​​the cultural industry.

For his part, the Palestinian minister expressed his gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, and to the Moroccan people for their constant and unwavering support for the Palestinian issue, welcoming in this regard the efforts of the Sovereign in favor of the Palestinian cause.

Mr. Hamdan also praised the role of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, the executive arm of the Al-Quds Committee, in terms of concrete projects carried out on the ground with a positive economic and social impact on the Maqdessis and the Palestinian people.

During this meeting, Mr. Bensaid presented to his Palestinian counterpart an overview of the projects launched by Morocco in the cultural and creative industries sector, stressing their importance in supporting and boosting the economy, particularly in terms of job creation among young people.

This interview was also an opportunity to address the issue of exchanging expertise, experiences and skills with a view to bringing together the cultures of the two brotherly peoples, Moroccan and Palestinian, and to emphasize the need to update the executive program of cultural cooperation between Morocco and Palestine, in addition to cooperation in the digitization of books and manuscripts, while making available to Palestinian brothers the Moroccan experience in this area.

The two parties also agreed, during this meeting, to strengthen cooperation and coordination in the cultural field within regional and international institutions serving the interests of Morocco and Palestine and to promote bilateral cultural cooperation.
