Speaking at a meeting bringing together the presidents of the business councils of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), held in the presence of the President of Employers, Chakib Alj, Mr. Jazouli highlighted the role of Morocco as an actor major in the value chains of several sectors, such as electric mobility, green hydrogen, aeronautics, etc.

He also insisted on the importance of business advice in promoting Morocco to investors and international business partners.

Returning in particular to the global value chains of automobiles and electric batteries, Mr. Jazouli reported on the ongoing constitution of the entire value chain of electric batteries in Morocco, including large-scale investments and gigafactories of the Chinese groups CNGR, BTR and Gotion.

“Chinese operators see in us a long-term partner in the same way that the Americans who use Chinese batteries see in Morocco a ‘safe space’ in which batteries can be produced independently of any international political crisis,” a- he said.

Organized at the initiative of the CGEM “International” Commission, chaired by Ghita Lahlou and Anas Guennoun (vice-president) and the “Africa” Commission, chaired by Abdou Diop and Ali Zerouali (vice-president), this meeting is part of the CGEM’s desire to further energize its business councils and give them the means to reach their full potential.

It also represents a platform for reflection on global geostrategic issues, on their impact on the competitiveness of Moroccan businesses and the economy, as well as on the means of transforming current challenges into economic opportunities accelerating development and growth for Morocco. .

A highlight of this event was the panel of presidents of business councils preceded by a keynote speech from the president of the Club des Chefs d’Entreprises France-Morocco and followed by a testimony from the president of the Morocco-Morocco Economic Council. Spain, Adil Rais.

This panel was an opportunity for presidents of business councils representing various continents to share their experiences and action plans, outline their future ambitions and highlight examples of good practices.

Numbering 66, the CGEM business councils are established with partner foreign employers and work to accelerate investment and co-investment, strengthen trade, but also promote Morocco’s influence. internationally.
