Mr. Mayara holds talks with Turkish Ambassador to Morocco
Rabat – The President of the House of Advisors, Mr. Enaam Mayara, met, Monday in Rabat, with the Turkish Ambassador to Morocco, Mustafa Ilker Kiliç, on ways to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields.
In this context, Mr. Mayara welcomed the quality of political relations between the two friendly countries, based on mutual esteem and respect under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said a statement from the chamber.
Mr. Mayara stressed the Kingdom’s willingness to continue the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the political and economic fields, highlighting the convergence of views of the two countries on many issues at the regional and international levels, the statement continued.
He also highlighted the importance of parliamentary cooperation as a driving force for promoting bilateral relations, stressing “the willingness of the House of Councillors to establish permanent channels of parliamentary dialogue in order to discuss issues of common interest.”
For his part, Mr. Kiliç welcomed this meeting ”which constitutes another step on the path of strengthening and consolidating relations between the two countries, established on the basis of common historical, civilizational and cultural denominators”, expressing Turkey’s willingness to engage in economic and commercial programs and partnerships benefiting both countries, the statement said.
The Turkish diplomat stressed that he would work to raise these relations to broader levels in the light of the great opportunities offered on both sides.
