Mr. Miraoui meets in Brussels with the European Commissioner for Innovation
Brussels – The Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Abdellatif Miraoui, met with the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Iliana Ivanova, ways to strengthen cooperation in areas of common interest.
During this meeting, Friday in Brussels, the two parties discussed ways and means of strengthening cooperation in higher education, scientific research and innovation in areas of common interest, welcoming the results cooperation in these areas, indicates a press release from the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.
The minister, on this occasion, insisted on the importance of co-building with the European Union (EU) training programs specific to talents and skills with a view to meeting the future needs of Morocco and European countries, while considering the African participatory scope.
He also raised the need to further encourage the mobility of students, doctoral students, researchers and administrative staff, particularly within the framework of the ERASMUS+ Program, notes the press release.
Furthermore, the two Parties agreed to continue discussions for the perpetuation of the PRIMA Program “in which Morocco’s participation is remarkable and which constitutes a model of regional cooperation involving Morocco and the EU”, underlines the same source.
This meeting was organized on the sidelines of the Ministerial Conference on the Multilateral Dialogue on the principles and values of international cooperation in Research and Innovation, organized in Brussels on February 15 and 16 by the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU .
