Thus, Mr. Sadiki launched the operation of distributing sheep and goats for the benefit of disaster-stricken breeders who suffered losses in the rural communes of Ouirgane and Adassil, respectively the most impacted by the earthquake in the provinces of Al Haouz and Chichaoua.

This operation, which mobilized a budget of 43 MDH, involves a total of 24,430 heads for the benefit of 2,443 disaster-stricken breeders in the two provinces.

On the other hand, the Minister took note of the progress of the operation of free distribution of barley to disaster-stricken breeders, knowing that the total quantity distributed so far amounts to 160,500 qx for the benefit of 20,977 beneficiaries, with a completion rate of 89%.

This operation of distributing free sheep, goats and barley aims to rebuild livestock in the areas affected by the earthquake.

At the level of the territorial communities of Asni and Adassil, Mr. Sadiki also proceeded to fill two seguias repaired and redeveloped after the earthquake.

The minister also learned about the progress of the rehabilitation and redevelopment program of the seguias impacted by the earthquake. This is a total length of 65 km for the benefit of 2,800 small farmers.

With a budget of 51.6 MDH, this program should allow the revival of the arboricultural sectors in the disaster areas, in particular olive, apple, almond and walnut trees.

Furthermore, the minister inquired about the progress of the expertise and redevelopment work of 26 recovery units affected by the earthquake and integrated into the emergency program in the two provinces of Al Haouz and Chichaoua.

This involves 26 units in total, the redevelopment of which will require an investment of 14 million dirhams.

In this context, the minister visited two construction sites in the commune of Asni: the first relating to the redevelopment of the marketing platform for local products impacted by the earthquake, while the second concerns the reconstruction of a walnut processing unit.

The local product marketing platform is operated by an EIG made up of 21 cooperatives, totaling 1,462 beneficiaries including 252 women.

At the level of the commune of Adassil (province of Chichaoua), the minister inquired about the progress of the redevelopment and reinforcement works of the rural road linking Douar Taskourt and the provincial road N°2038 via the Abou El Abbas Sebti dam, for an investment of around 7.94 MDH.

With a length of 10.6 km, this road serves 6 douars, or a population of approximately 1,250 inhabitants.

In the commune of Mzouda, the minister launched the redevelopment works of the rural road linking the regional road N°212 to Zaouite Sid Ahmed ou Ali, for a budget of 10.1 MDH.

This 10.5 km long road serves 9 douars and benefits 3,500 inhabitants.

Finally, in the commune of Guemassa, the minister presided over the inauguration ceremony of a rural road linking douar Gaaidat to douar Frizem, the construction of which required a budget of 5.5 MDH.

With a length of 8.2 km, this road serves 6 douars with a population of around 1,200 citizens.

In a statement to the press on this occasion, Mr. Sadiki, who was accompanied during this visit in particular by the governors of the provinces of Al Haouz and Chichaoua, respectively Mr. Rachid Benchikhi and Mr. Bouabid El Gerrab, explained that this emergency program of reconstruction, rehabilitation and upgrading of the areas devastated by the earthquake, in the agricultural sector, intervenes in application of the High Guidelines of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

This program covers the distribution of sheep and goats to disaster-stricken farmers who have suffered losses, the renovation of Small and Medium Hydraulic irrigation systems, the rehabilitation of recovery units and the opening up of agricultural holdings, through the construction and opening of tracks, the minister said.

The ministry is working to accelerate the pace of development and strengthen agricultural projects in the areas affected by the earthquake, within the framework of the Generation Green strategy, particularly in the area of ​​solidarity agriculture which targets small farmers in order to create a production dynamic and contribute to the stabilization of the local population in these areas, he concluded.
