‘Love becomes parting and parting leaves behind memories’
First performance scheduled to air at an open concert in December
‘Mr. Two’ (Park Sun-woo, Lee Min-gyu), who sang the hit song ‘White Winter’ in the 1990s, released a new song for the first time in 30 years.
‘Sa.i.chu – Love becomes parting and parting leaves memories’, which was released on various music sites on the 11th, is a song released by the male duo ‘Mr. Two’ 30 years after 1994.
‘Mr. Two’, which appeared in 1993 with their first album ‘White Winter’, swept first place on pop programs and music charts after the release of their first album, but disbanded after their second album the following year.
Lee Min-gyu, who later became a solo singer, had hit songs such as ’The Handmaiden’, and Park Sun-woo reunited with singer ‘Yan’ and Mr. Two to release his 3rd album ‘White Day’.
However, the plan for a comeback in 2010 was canceled due to the Cheonan incident, and in 2015, they tried to reunite after appearing on JTBC’s ’To You Project Sugar Man’, but the plan failed due to scheduling problems.
Meanwhile, last summer, Lee Min-gyu heard ‘Snow Falling’ from Mr. Two’s 3rd album and suggested a remake to Park Sun-woo, resulting in the release of ‘Sa.i.chu - Love Becomes Parting and Parting Leaves Memories’.
This new song, which is in the style of a 90’s dance song, was written, composed, and produced by Park Sun-woo. It is a song that combines Park Sun-woo’s ‘high tone’ and Lee Min-gyu’s ’husky’ voice.
The new song will be debuted at the KBS 1TV Open Concert to be aired in December. In addition to broadcasting activities, Mr. Two plans to meet fans through various performances and events.

Time.news Editor: Welcome to our readers! Today, we delve into the world of K-pop nostalgia as we discuss the remarkable return of the iconic duo, Mr. Two. Joining me is music expert, Professor Kim Hae-jin, who has followed their career since their rise to fame in the 1990s. Thank you for being here, Professor Kim!
Professor Kim: Thank you for having me! It’s an exciting time for fans of Mr. Two and the music industry as a whole.
Time.news Editor: Absolutely! Mr. Two is making headlines with their new song, ”Sa.i.chu – Love Becomes Parting and Parting Leaves Memories.” It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years since they first took the stage with hits like “White Winter.” What do you think has driven their return after such a long hiatus?
Professor Kim: It’s truly remarkable! The emotional resonance of their music has evidently never faded away. Their return highlights a growing trend in the music industry where nostalgia plays a significant role. Fans often crave the familiar sounds of their youth, and Mr. Two provides that connection beautifully.
Time.news Editor: Their new song reportedly embodies the 90’s dance vibe that many fans remember fondly. How do you think the blend of Park Sun-woo’s high tone and Lee Min-gyu’s husky voice contributes to the song’s appeal?
Professor Kim: The contrast in their voices creates a rich, dynamic sound that is both refreshing and reminiscent of their earlier work. Park’s high notes add a sense of ethereal nostalgia, while Lee’s deeper tones ground the music, giving it a warmth that listeners can sink into. This combination is essential in making their revival feel authentic yet contemporary.
Time.news Editor: You mentioned the importance of nostalgia. How do you think fans will react to their new material, especially since the last reunion attempt in 2015 didn’t materialize?
Professor Kim: There will undoubtedly be a mix of emotions. Many fans who followed their careers throughout the years will be thrilled to see them back together. The failed attempts to reunite may have added to the anticipation for this release. I believe their loyal fan base will embrace their new work, viewing it as a culmination of years of hope and longing.
Time.news Editor: The announcement of their upcoming performance at the KBS 1TV Open Concert is another exciting aspect. How do you think live performances will play a role in re-establishing their presence in the industry?
Professor Kim: Live performances are crucial for re-establishing an artist’s identity, especially after a long break. It allows them to not only showcase their new material but also to reconnect with fans on a personal level. A performance amplifies the emotional impact of their songs, providing an experience that recordings alone cannot replicate. Their engagement with fans through concerts and events will definitely boost their visibility and reintroduce their music to a new generation.
Time.news Editor: As we look ahead, what do you think the future holds for Mr. Two after this comeback? Could we see continued collaborations or even a new album?
Professor Kim: Given the positive reception of their latest single, I wouldn’t be surprised if they pursue further collaborations or even produce a full album. There’s a strong desire from both the artists and fans for more music that evokes those cherished memories. If their upcoming performances turn out to be successful, it will certainly lay the groundwork for a more permanent return to the music scene.
