MrBeast Cuts Ties with Ava Tyson Amid Grooming Allegations, Initiates Independent Investigation

The renowned YouTuber MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, recently addressed the allegations of grooming made against his long-time collaborator, Ava Kris Tyson. The content creator quickly responded to the pressures that emerged on social media and among other content creators, declaring that he is “disgusted” by the allegations and has taken immediate action to distance himself from his former partner.

In a message posted on Wednesday on X, MrBeast stated: “In recent days, I have become aware of the serious accusations regarding Ava Tyson’s online behavior, and I am disgusted and against such unacceptable acts.”

Additionally, Donaldson added that he has hired an independent third party to conduct a thorough investigation. “I have seen enough online and have taken immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast,” specified the YouTuber.

The Hollywood Reporter noted that the controversy erupted days ago when several people accused Tyson of sending inappropriate messages to a 13-year-old minor when she was 20. Users on X, Discord, and YouTube began analyzing the public messages between the accused and the minor, known online as LavaGS, particularly highlighting those that included references to nude photos, sex, and anime pornography.

In response to the allegations, Tyson denied committing grooming and posted an apology on X on Wednesday. Tyson stated: “I humbly apologize to anyone I may have hurt with my unacceptable social media posts, my past actions, and to those who may feel betrayed by how I used to act online.”

Despite the apology, MrBeast decided to completely distance himself from her, assuring that he does not tolerate or support any of the inappropriate actions described in the allegations.

For his part, LavaGS also defended Tyson on social media, suggesting that the past conversation between them did not constitute grooming, but rather were “raunchy jokes.”

Public reaction has been mixed. Some have shown support for MrBeast for his swift action and transparency in addressing these serious allegations, while others have joined the debate on Tyson’s guilt or innocence.
