The YouTube star says he is taking steps after grooming allegations. He has also reportedly hired private investigators to look into the matter further.

Ava Kris Tyson (28) is reportedly fired from his YouTube channel, following allegations of inappropriate messages to a minor.

The channel is the largest in the world, with over 300 million subscribers, and is run by James Stephen “Jimmy” Donaldson (26) – known as MrBeast.

Tyson has been a co-host since 2012, and is reportedly Donaldson’s childhood friend.

Allegations against Tyson began coming to light last month, in videos shared by other YouTubers, according to BBC.

They involve her allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a minor – reportedly 13 years old. Tyson herself denies the allegations.

Donaldson writes on X that he has “removed Tyson from the company, the channel and everything related to MrBeast,” after he has “seen enough online”.

– I neither accept nor support any of the inappropriate actions, Donaldson follows up.

– Will implement further measures based on findings

MrBeast writes that he has become aware of the “serious allegations regarding Ava Tyson’s behavior online” in recent days:

– I feel disgust and oppose such unacceptable actions.

He says he has hired an independent third party to conduct thorough investigations and ensure he has all the facts:

– I will give the independent investigators the necessary time to conduct a comprehensive investigation and will implement further measures based on their findings.

Denies allegations

Tyson has posted several posts on X, where she denies the allegations. “I have never groomed anyone,” she writes:

– Creating a narrative that my behavior goes beyond bad edgy jokes is disgusting, and did not happen.

– In recent years, I have learned that my old humor is not acceptable. I can’t change who I was, but I can continue to work on myself, Tyson continues on X.

The former co-host states that it was not her intention to hurt or offend anyone.

– That said, I humbly apologize to everyone I have hurt with my unacceptable posts on social media, past actions and to those who may feel betrayed by how I used to behave online, she follows up.

She writes that she and Donaldson have mutually “determined that it’s best for me to permanently leave everything related to MrBeast and social media to focus on my family and my mental health.”
