Speaking at the inaugural function of the Tiruvallur District Cricket Association (DTCA) on Friday, the former ICC President and former BCCI President N Srinivasan was the Chief Guest:
“For the first time I am participating in an event that celebrates the success of a district association. I would like to thank my District Cricket Association (Ranchi). Cricketers should be proud to represent their district. I’m proud to have had the opportunity to represent my country, but it would not have happened if I had not played for my district or school.
Congratulations on the 25th anniversary of the Tiruvallur District Cricket Association. It’s been over 25 years, but today we celebrate it. I have known RN Baba (TDCA Secretary) for a very long time. My congratulations not only to him but also to others in the association, ”said Dhoni.
Dhoni presented awards to Tamil Nadu athletes who excelled in a variety of sports, including cricket, table tennis, chess, football, athletics and wheelchair racing for the disabled.
