With the defeat in the World Cup, there is a strong demand for a major overhaul in the Indian team. The BCCI may decide to use Dhoni’s experience to include him in the team while considering changes in the coaching staff.
The BCCI is planning to hold talks with the 2011 World Cup winner and include him in Team India’s T20 setup. Besides, the BCCI has also called a meeting with the players to discuss the poor performance in the recently concluded World Cup. All senior players and coaches will participate in this meeting.
Be it ODI or T20, Dhoni has a clear understanding of any game. His experience will come in handy for upcoming ICC tournaments, especially ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. Earlier, Dhoni worked with the team during the T20 World Cup held in UAE last year but it was limited to that World Cup. But this time his involvement with the team will be long-term.
