Ms. El Mansouri chairs a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Al Omrane Group

On this occasion, Ms. El Mansouri underlined the importance of this sector and its role in the economic and social dynamics experienced by Morocco, referring to the ongoing reforms, particularly in the field of housing and urban development, as well as in improving the performance of public establishments and enterprises, indicates a press release from the Ministry of National Land Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy.

“As part of the execution of the High Royal Directions of His Majesty the King, may God assist him, the ministry has engaged in a series of initiatives and measures in accordance with the recommendations of the national dialogue on urban planning and housing”, she said, adding that this desire was reflected in the direct housing assistance program “Daam Sakane” which aims to facilitate access to housing for citizens in order to improve their conditions of life, promote investment and create jobs in the housing sector.

Ms. El Mansouri recalled the role of the Al Omrane group in the implementation of State policy in terms of planning, housing and territorial development, as a public actor responsible for managing today the main public programs today.

The minister also emphasized the commitments set at the previous meeting of the Supervisory Board, including the evaluation of the activities of the Al Omrane group and the presentation of a complete diagnosis of its situation and its prospects for improvement. and development, which must be in line with the strategy and priorities of the supervisory ministry.

In addition, she welcomed the dynamics observed within the group since the appointment of Mr. Housni El Ghazaoui as Chairman of the Management Board of the Al Omrane Group, recalling the mobilization of the group during the earthquake which struck Morocco, by providing the technical assistance for the disaster zone reconstruction program, as well as the launch of a digital platform to facilitate access to Al Omrane products, within the framework of total transparency and guaranteeing better proximity with citizens.

Ms. El Mansouri subsequently focused on the expectations of the Supervisory Board with regard to the Al Omrane group, inviting it to actively contribute to the development of public policies linked to the sector, to strengthen its relations with central and regional partners, and to improve its effectiveness and efficiency to serve as a model in terms of governance, transparency and service to citizens.

Regarding the group’s results for the year 2023, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the GAO, Mr. El Ghazaoui, specified that Al Omrane’s turnover reached more than 4.26 billion dirhams (MMDH), with an achievement rate of 101%, while sales revenue amounted to nearly 4.73 billion MAD, with an achievement rate of 117% compared to the objectives set previously and up 22% compared to 2022.

And to continue that the group has started work on 6,548 new production units and 38,255 urban upgrading units and has completed 10,832 new production units and 43,235 urban upgrading units.

Regarding the 2024 action plan, Mr. El Ghazaoui indicated that the GAO plans to create 16,679 new production units and 28,421 units in partnership. The group also plans to complete work on 28,908 new production units and 9,478 partnership units, in addition to the delivery of 16,080 sales contracts and the creation of 30,058 land titles.

On the investment side, it is planned to mobilize MAD 5.5 billion and the forecast turnover is estimated at MAD 5.58 billion, up 31% compared to 2023.
