A great achievement for MS Kiryat Yam, who was promoted to League A today (Thursday) and won the championship in League B. Eran Levy’s team beat Hapoel Ironi Karmiel 0:2 in the 26th round, crossed the 100 right goals mark in the league and raised their record to 25 wins and one draw, with no losses.
37-year-old Eran Levy raised the championship plate again. The midfielder started the season with Maccabi Cavillio Jaffa, with whom he celebrated last season qualifying for the national league after many years in the lower leagues since the team was re-established in the 2008/09 season. The connection thus closed the lifting of the championship plate for the second year in a row in the lower leagues, alongside players such as Merik Shemhavim, Itay Magal, Moti Kadosh, Yarin Printi, Legal Nachshul and Sharon Shemhavim, who continued from the previous season.
Last year, after Kiryat Yam returned to activity after a decade, the northern club achieved 66 points in 22 victories and qualified from League C Samaria to League B. In that season, Kiryat Yam scored 153 goals and conceded only eight goals, winning all of its games. This season the great ability continues, when it already has 48 consecutive games without a loss, and qualification to the First League.
