MSI Claw: Leaked Benchmarks and Specs for Intel-Powered Handheld – What to Expect at CES

MSI’s Handheld Gaming Device, The Claw, Leaks Ahead of CES

Images of MSI’s upcoming handheld gaming device, The Claw, have been leaked online, revealing a design that bears a striking resemblance to Asus’ ROG Ally. The device features offset thumbsticks with what appears to be RGB lighting, and leaked benchmarks suggest that it will be powered by one of Intel’s latest Meteor Lake processors.

The choice of Intel’s processor comes as a surprise, as both Lenovo and Asus opted for AMD’s Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor in their respective handheld gaming devices. Intel is not known for having the strongest track record in GPU drivers, so the performance of the new Meteor Lake chip in handling games remains to be seen once the device is officially announced.

In addition to the processor, the leaked specs also suggest that the MSI Claw will have 32GB of memory, double the amount found in the Legion Go or ROG Ally.

While the leaks have provided insight into the device’s internals, details about the screen size, resolution, and display technology (such as whether it will use an OLED panel) remain unknown. However, based on the leaked photo, it is speculated that the device will feature a screen size similar to the ROG Ally’s seven-inch display.

With MSI teasing the device and leaks surfacing online, it is expected that more information about The Claw will be revealed at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) next week. Gaming enthusiasts and tech enthusiasts alike will be anticipating further details about MSI’s entry into the handheld gaming market.
