MSI Malaysia debuted the Prestige N16 Flip AI+ in Petaling Jaya, marking the arrival of the world’s first laptop powered by an NVIDIA RTX Spark system-on-chip with up to 128GB of unified memory and a 360-degree convertible design.
Carrying a starting price tag of RM19,699, the device stands as the only 2-in-1 convertible in the initial global wave of RTX Spark Windows laptops according to MSI Malaysia’s showcase at Jaya One on Thursday. (Meanwhile, Wccftech notes that US pre-orders start at $3,299 for a 32GB RAM and 1TB storage configuration, scaling up to $6,799 for a 128GB and 2TB setup.) The hardware platform integrates an RTX graphics processing unit directly onto the system-on-chip, engineered specifically to handle local agentic workloads without relying on remote servers.
Local AI Processing Reduces Fees and Protects Data
Running artificial intelligence models locally eliminates recurring cloud fees and keeps sensitive data securely on the hardware. Because large models contain billions of parameters, performance depends heavily on keeping the entire model within the graphics memory pool rather than spilling over into slower system RAM. When memory is too small, data spills into slower system memory and responses lag, while a larger memory pool lets users run bigger, more capable models at full speed.
Customers can purchase the Prestige Flip AI+ in a choice of two configurations: the complete N1X chip containing 20 Arm cores alongside a Blackwell GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores, or an alternative version powered by an 18-core SoC equipped with a 5,120-core GPU:
- 64GB Model: Tailored for software engineers, data scientists, and content creators handling local generative AI, coding assistants, and video rendering.
- 128GB Model: Built for AI researchers and enterprise teams running large local models with 70B–100B parameters.
Under the hood, the NVIDIA RTX Spark system-on-chip pairs a Grace central processing unit with a Blackwell RTX graphics core featuring up to 6,144 CUDA cores. The architecture delivers up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance alongside native support for CUDA software ecosystems, ray tracing, and DLSS acceleration as detailed by Wccftech in its hardware breakdown. (While Technave notes that variants can feature the full N1X chip with 20 Arm cores and 6,144 CUDA cores, Wccftech adds that an alternative 18-core SoC variant utilizing a 5,120-core GPU is also available.)

Tandem OLED Screen Pairs with Dual Biometric Security
The hardware is housed inside a 13.9mm-thick chassis weighing 1.9 kilograms, driven by a 99.9 Whr battery. Visual output comes through a 16-inch UHD+ Tandem OLED touchscreen boasting a resolution of 3840 by 2400 pixels, a 30 to 120Hz variable refresh rate, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification, and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits.
Notebook Marketing Manager Chris Liao highlighted the machine’s focus on user protection during the Petaling Jaya media event. It also offers stronger sign-in security, pairing a fingerprint sensor with an IR camera for facial recognition, a dual-biometric combination that sets it apart from other RTX Spark laptops,
Liao stated.

MSI Brings Special Edition Laptops to Malaysia
The showcase also brought several other device ranges to Malaysia, such as the MSI Artisan Collection’s Prestige 14 Flip AI+ Vincent van Gogh Edition—a 1.37kg convertible measuring just 11.9mm thick that draws visual inspiration from The Starry Night and Starry Night Over the Rhône, running on Intel Core Ultra processors with a 14-inch OLED display and a special Van Gogh accessory package. Attendees also got a look at the Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic, featuring an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, and a commemorative collector's coin bundle. Rounding out the lineup is the Modern 14S AI+, a light, everyday AI laptop for students and professionals featuring Intel Core Ultra processors, a 14-inch OLED display, a 1.38kg weight, and Office Home 2024 included, starting from RM4,499.
Buyers purchasing the Prestige N16 Flip AI+ through authorised partners or the official e-store receive a three-year on-site warranty. Customers who complete their purchase before December 2026 can redeem the MSI Care Plus package, which adds a one-year warranty extension and one year of accidental damage protection.
