The President of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Aqeel Muften, affirmed his unlimited support for the Olympic team in its journey in the Asian Championship qualifying for the Paris Olympics, which is currently being held in the Qatari capital, Doha.
Muftin told the (INA): “The Olympic Committee seeks to harness all capabilities in order to move forward towards winning one of the qualifying cards for the Paris Olympics,” indicating that “the Executive Office decided to support the Olympic team absolutely, openly and without reservation, and to provide everything it needs.” To reach the desired goal, which is to snatch the qualification ticket for the next Olympics, praising the great victory of our Olympic team in the last match over its Tajik counterpart, by four goals to two.”
Muften added, “Our Olympic team is a young team, and our players have the courage that qualifies them to complete the Asian journey,” pointing out that, “We were not lucky in the first match, but our players performed well, and we hope for a great future for them in providing the national team with talents and champions.”
