Police Investigate Series of Burglaries in Mobile Homes around Gothenburg

Yesterday, the police in Gothenburg were alerted to a string of burglaries in five different mobile homes. The incidents occurred in the areas of Gullbergsvass, Skeppsbron, Krokslätt, Kungälv, and Kållered.

According to Peter Adlersson, the police’s spokesperson in the West region, the owners of the mobile homes were away when the burglaries took place. When they returned, they discovered that their mobile phones, cash, and keys were missing.

The police have confirmed that the owners left their mobile homes locked. However, upon their return, they found the doors to the driver’s compartment or the sleeping compartment forcibly opened.

Adlersson advises against leaving valuables in mobile homes to prevent future incidents. “Not leaving valuables in the mobile home is a tip,” he said.

The fact that several break-ins occurred on the same evening is highly unusual, as stated by Peter Adlersson. “It stands out. There are a lot of people to stay for one evening,” he added.

Authorities are currently investigating the possibility of a connection between the burglaries. Adlersson pointed out that the incidents took place within a short time frame and in a relatively limited geographical area. “So there may very well be a connection, that people go around and commit burglaries,” Adlersson said. He also did not rule out the involvement of multiple criminal gangs, stating, “There could be several gangs going around here.”

As of now, the police have not identified any suspects in the series of burglaries. The investigation is ongoing.
