Thane: A strange incident has come to light in Thane district of Maharashtra. A man allegedly behaved indecently with a woman. After this, the woman, in order to save herself, hit him on his private part with a ladle and injured him. An official confirmed the incident on Saturday and said that the 30-year-old injured man was rushed to the hospital. Police said that the accused man entered the woman’s house and tried to force himself on her. He also showed his private part in front of the woman. Police officials said the accused, Anil Satyanarayan Racha, under the influence of alcohol, allegedly behaved indecently with a 26-year-old woman at her home in Bhiwandi area. Police said Racha and the woman knew each other. On Friday, at around 4.30 pm, Racha went to her house and allegedly tried to molest her by behaving indecently. He also showed his private parts to the woman.
The woman attacked with a ladle
To save herself, the woman raised an alarm and ran towards the kitchen and picked up a ladle. She hit the accused on his private part with the ladle, injuring him, the official said, quoting the FIR. The injured Racha then fled from the woman’s house and was admitted to a hospital, the official said.
Case registered under these sectionsOn the woman’s complaint, the Bhiwandi city police have registered a case against Racha for outraging the modesty of a woman, sexual harassment and house trespass under the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The accused has not been arrested as he is still in the hospital, the official said.
