Mumbai/Ulhasnagar: A shameful incident has come to light in Ulhasnagar city of Thane district in Maharashtra. An FIR has been registered against a senior officer of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation here for sexually harassing a female employee. An officer of the Central Police Station of Ulhasnagar said that the 42-year-old victim is a clerk by profession. He said that the victim said in her complaint that the accused often called her to his room on some pretext, touched her inappropriately and wanted to have sex. It is alleged that he also asked the woman to go to a hotel.

The victim said that later the accused was transferred to Panvel, but in February 2022 he was again posted as the head of the tax department of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation.

He has rejected the allegations leveled against me by the female clerk, calling them baseless.
