Madhya Pradesh has made history by winning the Ranji Trophy for the first time in the 2021/22 season of India’s historic local cricket series Ranji Trophy. Spinner Kumar Karthikeyan took 5 wickets for the team. He took a total of 32 wickets in the series and was instrumental in the historic victory of Madhya Pradesh.
Born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, he fell in love with cricket and played local cricket continuously in the early days. But his parents objected and he left home with a vow not to return home without achieving something in cricket and has been playing first-class local cricket for Madhya Pradesh. With that frenzy, Vijay Hazare bought Saeed Mushtaq Ali Cup series for Rs 20 lakh in the latest IPL 2022 auction in Mumbai.

“It has been 9 years and 2 months since I left home on April 1. My house is in Kanpur. But since my father is in the police force he often changes workplace. He is currently in Jhansi. I do not see him even though I have a brother. I had time to go home. But when I last spoke to Dad he said, “You left home, come back if you’ve achieved anything.” I just said “yes” to it. I did not go home because I said ‘yes’. I will go home only after I have achieved something more. ”

Kumar Karthikeyan, who also said that he could not see his mother in tears as he came home talking on the phone during these times, has enthusiastically said that he has now stopped making video calls to avoid it. He further spoke about this as follows.
