MUMBAI: Sensex index down 555.15 points; At the forefront is the Adani Group

The Sensex fell 555.15 points to close at 58,775.75 in early morning trading on the Mumbai Stock Exchange.

Of this, Adani Enterprises and Adani Ports led the way with gains of 10% in early trade. Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Payserv were also profitable at the opening trade.

Tech Mahindra, Goborg, Emphasis, Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies including IT Companies also profited from stock trading.

Public sector banks and metals sector were seen with gains. Oil and gas companies were in a slump in business.

SBI Life, Power Grid and H.U.L. These companies also saw a decline. In the national stock market, the Nifty index was also seen falling below 17,500 points at the opening of trade.
