To assist the devotees, the police have set up help desks, while traffic signs have been installed at several places to guide them. Apart from this, several parking lots have also been created temporarily to avoid congestion on the main roads.

Restrictions on the entry of heavy vehicles

Heavy vehicles are prohibited from entering the city during peak hours. However, vehicles related to essential services such as milk, vegetables, police, doctors and medicines etc. are exempted.

The police have urged citizens to use public transport as much as possible to ensure traffic order and reduce traffic burden. Keeping in mind the increasing number of passengers, the police have also coordinated between BEST buses, local trains and metro services.
