Personnel from the Health Secretariat of the Municipality of La Banda participated in a training on “Safe handling of pesticides and associated hazardous waste” that was given to members of the environmental health brigades.
The activity was organized by the Directorate of Vector-Transmitted Diseases and the Ministries of Health and Environment and Sustainable Development of the Nation.
The topics of: responsible management of healthcare homes for exclusive use of public health and associated waste were discussed. In addition to emphasizing the safe handling of pesticides and associated hazardous waste, personal protection elements, management of pesticide containers and first aid.
