Mayiladuthurai: The country’s 74th Republic Day was celebrated in various government offices and schools in Mayiladuthurai district. In this case, there are two secondary schools in Mayiladuthurai namely Narayanasamy Municipal High School and Kittappa Municipal High School.
School students and girls were put on guard since morning for DMK’s city council president Selvaraj, flaunting the government’s order that only the headmasters of the respective schools should hoist the flag.
At seven-thirty in the morning, without worrying about the students who came all hungry, the city council president visited the municipal schools after completing every program. Narayanasamy Municipal High School at half past ten and Kittappa Municipal High School at 10.50 a.m. City Council President Selvaraj hoisted the national flag. The students who had been waiting for three hours were tired of this.
