Munishwarnath Bandari will take over as the new Chief Justice of the Chennai High Court on Monday.

Sanjib Banerjee, former Chief Justice of the Chennai High Court, has been transferred to the Meghalaya High Court. Subsequently, Munishwar Nath Bandari, a senior judge of the Allahabad High Court, was appointed as a Chennai High Court judge. It was announced in the Presidential order that Senior Justice Duraisamy would remain the Chief Justice in charge till he takes charge and after Judge Munishwar Nath Bandari takes over, he will continue as the Chief Justice in charge. In this context, Munishwarnath Bandari is set to take over as the new Chief Justice of the Chennai High Court next Monday.
