The compulsory health insurance policy (MHI) will go digital, it will be automatically generated upon the birth of a child or obtaining Russian citizenship, said Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko at the All-Russian Congress of Patients.

“One of the services that we plan to implement in the near future is a digital medical policy. This is another innovation that will allow you to have fast and convenient communication when contacting a medical organization. From 2022, citizens will be able to abandon a paper-based medical insurance policy in favor of a register entry in the system of the federal CHI fund, ”said Murashko (quoted by RIA Novosti).

According to him, the policy will be automatically generated when the corresponding entries appear in the registry office or at the request of the insured, that is, at birth or obtaining citizenship. The authorities also plan to link the data of the Federal Register of Preferential Medicines to the portal of state services, so that every Russian knows about his right to preferential medicines and can get them.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that from 2022 in the service “My Health Online” it is planned to start registering as an insured person in the compulsory medical insurance system, obtaining a digital compulsory medical insurance policy, choosing an insurance medical organization and attaching to a polyclinic online.
