Ayyadurai hails from Tenkasi Shakti Nagar. His son is Surya (age 30). He studied film technology and was engaged in building his own cottage in Kodaikanal. He was beaten to death a few days ago while staying in a rented house in Kallukuzhi area of Kodaikanal.
The Kodaikanal police registered a case and conducted an investigation. During the investigation, the police arrested Surya’s girlfriend, Suvatho (25), a yoga teacher from 1st Street, Venkateswara Nagar, Kottivakkam, and four of her male friends, for murdering Surya.
Sensational Confession
Swetha, who was arrested, gave a sensational statement to the police. In it he said:-
Surya and I fell in love when we were on a trip last year. After that I did not like Surya’s actions, so I left him and went to Chennai. I have ‘blocked’ Surya’s cell phone number so that he cannot talk to me.
A month ago I came to Kodaikanal again in search of work. I stayed in a house alone in Pambarpuram, Kodaikanal. Meanwhile I ‘unblocked’ Surya’s number and texted him. After that we got back in touch.
Attack with a rolling pin
In this situation, last 30th, I was at Surya’s house in Kallukuzhi area. Then T.V. There was a dispute between me and Surya about watching. In this Surya tried to attack me. I informed my male friends about this. After that, 4 male friends who came there tried to avoid the dispute between us.
During the dispute, the male friends attacked Surya with a rolling pin lying nearby. And they trampled him underfoot. Surya fainted at this. So we kept him lying on the bed there.
He did not wake up for a long time. Suspicious, we took him to Kodaikanal Government Hospital. The doctor who examined him said that he was already dead. The police investigated me and my male friends and arrested them.
