The silence

Di Levrano, defended by the public defender Gaia Vergari, has availed himself of the right to remain silent. The lawyer, on the sidelines of the hearing, explained that she went to prison yesterday morning, speaking to him for about twenty minutes. “I found him very distressed, saddened by his children, he was asking about them. He is certainly not in a state of well-being, the charge is that of having killed his wife”. There is a passage that the lawyer underlines. “She would have returned home because I think she wanted to see her children – explains Vergari – The relationship between him and his wife was not good, there was tension and jealousy and the fact that she had left home certainly did not simplify the situation. An action by the husband, in any case unjustifiable. He only asked me about the three children, their conditions are his main concern”. Today the minors, after a first night spent at their paternal grandparents’ house, were welcomed into a protected community. Yesterday morning the hearing before the investigating judge ended with the validation of Di Levrano’s arrest and the judge ordered the precautionary measure of prison. Therefore he remains in a cell in Villa Fastiggi.

The new lawyer

The lawyer from the Pesaro court, reached by telephone, stressed: «I reserve the right to see the documents, understand the charge and hear Di Levrano, his version of how the events happened that night and in the previous days. The criminal lawyer is defending Michael Alessandrini in the case of the murder of Pierpaolo Panzieri and has defended Igli Meta and Mema Mario in the murder of Ismaele Lulli from Sant’Angelo in Vado. At the moment the charge for Di Levrano is for voluntary homicide aggravated by family ties, by having committed the crime in front of minor children and by mistreatment in the family.
