Kochi : The police said that the phone of missing Arshad, who is suspected to be the suspect in the incident where a young man was found murdered in a flat in Kochi, was switched off yesterday evening. Arshad’s mobile phone was switched off when the murder came to light. The police say that the phone was switched off near the Tenjipalam. The police are searching relatives’ houses for Arshad. Sajeev Krishna, a native of Vandoor, Malappuram, was found murdered in Oxonia flat in Idachira, Kakkanad. The information about the murder came to light yesterday evening. The body of Sajeev Krishna, who had been stabbed all over, was wrapped in a blanket and tied up.
The body was found between the pipe ducts of the flat. The police suspect that Arshad, a resident of Paioli, who lived with Sajeev, committed the murder. Police searched for him last night but could not find him. Sajeev’s body was found when the flatmates came to look after Sajeev could not be reached on the phone for two days.
After finding the flat locked from the outside, the security was informed and after the arrival of the police, another key was made and the flat was opened. Arshad, the suspected murderer, was not a permanent resident of this flat. Arshad is a friend of Amjad who was a permanent resident. Arshad came to stay here on the basis of this relationship. 22-year-old Sajeev Krishna came to Kochi to study hotel management course.
Friends say that Sajeev Krishna was on the phone till Sunday night. I have not received a call since Monday morning. After this, the relatives were informed. The body was found on the 16th floor of Oxonia flat in Edchira. The flat is owned by GG Eapan, a native of Kottayam. The flat is located near Infopark.
