RAB-7 arrested Belal Hossain (51), who was sentenced to life for murdering his stepmother after 25 years in Chittagong’s Bhujpur police station area.
He was arrested from Raufabad area under Bayezid Bostami police station of the metropolis on Saturday (December 16) around 3:30 pm. The arrested Belal Hossain is the son of Aminur Rahman of Banglapara village under Bhujpur police station.
RAB-7 informed this information in a circular sent to the media on Sunday afternoon.
RAB said that the accused Belal Hossain, who was sentenced to life in the case of killing his stepmother in Bhujpur, Chittagong in 1997, has been arrested. Accused Belal was hiding in different parts of the country for 25 years mainly to avoid arrest from the law enforcement agencies. He has been handed over to Bhujpur police station.
