Tamires Alessandra Viana, who died at the age of 29 this week in the interior of São Paulo, dreamed of becoming a military police officer and was considered by friends and relatives to be a person who liked to help others. This is the images they will take of the young woman, who ended up shot to death in front of her son, just 6 years old, upon returning home, in Campo Limpo Paulista. Tamires was three months pregnant and was allegedly beaten and killed by her ex-husband, Wilson Benedicto Júnior, aged 41. In an interview with R7, beautician Suellen Tavares, a longtime friend of the victim, revealed that Tamires had marks of injuries on her face. Moved, the woman told details about her friend’s wake. “If I’m already devastated, I can’t measure or describe the pain of her father and sister. They are destroyed”, said Suellen (left) and Tamires (right) had been friends for 10 years. Suellen claims that Tamires did not deserve a cruel death. She says that her friend was hardworking, helpful, always willing to help and, if necessary, would leave her pain aside to extend a helping hand to others. Furthermore, as Suellen reports, the pregnant woman was an excellent mother, friend and professional. “If she saw a homeless person looking for food in the trash, she would go to a nearby bakery, buy something and take it to him to eat,” recalls the beautician. The victim, who identified himself as a military police officer, was married for ten years to the suspected of the crime, Wilson Benedicto Júnior, and had been trying to separate from him for two years, after being betrayed and victim of aggression. Tamires went to her ex’s house on Monday (25) to pick up her son, at which point he would have been beaten and later shot. The boy witnessed his mother’s murder. Wilson fled, but was arrested in Minas Gerais. Despite Tamires’ death, according to the friend, the child, who is under the guardianship of Tamires’ aunt and sister, still believes that her mother is alive. “The son keeps calling for her and asking his aunt to call his mother, saying that she’s taking a long time to come back,” she says. The beautician also revealed that, despite her friend being very reserved, she could tell that her husband was ” possessive”. “Sometimes she would come here to the house and say that she couldn’t stay long and that she had to go back before he arrived. When she went to church, he always stopped by to see if she was really watching the service,” said Tamires died before realizing his dream of becoming a military police officer. Despite posting photos wearing the uniform, the São Paulo State Military Police and the SSP (Public Security Secretariat) reported that the victim applied twice to join the corporation in 2021, but did not complete the selection processes. The woman then began studying veterinary medicine at Faculdade Campo Limpo Paulista. According to her friend, she was always doing “odd jobs” to pay for college, but her real dream was to be a police officer. “How long will this last? If these laws don’t change, how many women will die just because men don’t accept the end of the relationship?”, asked the beautician
