The visit of Mr. Roodenburg, who is preparing to leave his post as Dutch ambassador to Morocco, provided an opportunity to discuss the exhibition “Cobra: A Multiple-Headed Serpent” which will be organized on October 29 at the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMVI), in partnership with Cobra Museum of Modern Art in the Netherlands, the FNM said in a press release.
This exhibition will mark the continuity of the celebrations of the 10 years of the MMVI and will offer visitors a unique opportunity to discover significant works of the European artistic movement Cobra, underlines the press release, adding that several cultural activities for the benefit of schoolchildren are planned to encourage the young public to learn about art.
As part of this collaboration aimed at strengthening cultural cooperation between Morocco and the Netherlands, a delegation of Dutch museum curators, led by the Reinwardt Academy of Amsterdam, will be welcomed from November 11 to 13 at Jamaâ El-Fna, the Museum of Intangible Heritage in Marrakech, the same source said.
At the end of this visit, Mr. Qotbi expressed his thanks for the unwavering support and valuable efforts of the Dutch ambassador in strengthening cultural ties between the two nations, the Foundation emphasizes, adding that on this occasion, the book of the 10 years of the FNM was presented to the Dutch diplomat.
This meeting took place in the presence of Messrs. Lakhlifa Dahmani, Abdelaziz El Idrissi and Abdelghani Mammar, respectively Secretary General of the FNM, Head of the Museums Department and Head of the Administrative and Financial Department.
