The head of Government, Clara Brugadaassured that the renovation of the second floor of the Museum of Anthropology represents an opportunity to learn about the living past and present of the indigenous communities.
The capital’s president attended the reopening of the second level of the Museum of Anthropology, headed by the President of the Republic, Claudia Sheinbaumwhere he assured that the event opens the opportunity to meet the indigenous cultures of Mexico and its production contemporary artistic and cultural.

“We are a multicultural, multilingual and multiethnic country. And in that diversity is where our greatness lies,” he stressed. Brugada by recognizing federal efforts to modernize said area of the museum.
Likewise, he highlighted that since its inauguration the National Museum of Anthropology It was positioned as one of the most important in the world as it housed the cosmogony of the native peoples; In addition, he highlighted the work of the thousands of experts from different disciplines who, over 200 years, have dedicated themselves to preserving memory and identity, such as archeology and anthropology.
Meanwhile, the national leader said that with the reopening of the second floor of the Museum the greatness of the native peoples is shown, which also recognizes the current cultures and the Afro-Mexican peoples.
For her part, Lucero García, a textile artisan originally from the Tajín region, in the State of Veracruz, indicated that with the renovation of the museum “the voice of the people can be heard and the transmission of their knowledge can continue.”
